During 1997 and 1998, Mr. Ross traveled from coast to coast in the United States and on two extended journeys to Europe. He used his sabbatical to connect with new communities and artistic endeavors, and to renew his creativity and sense of adventure. The highlight of his experience has been his personal and working relationship with his wife Randi Wagner, the noted colorist painter. During their three month residence in Venice, Italy, Ms. Wagner designed and collaborated with the Marco Polo Gallery and two of its top maestros on the production of limited edition art glass. In addition to conducting the administrative and business aspects of her work, Mr. Ross progressed in researching materials for a forthcoming book based on their journey. A version of the book has been registered with the Writers Guild of America.
